The Treesearcher
The Treesearcher, a quarterly publication, is published by The Kansas Genealogical Society (KGS) and is included in the membership dues. The content consists of a 32-page quarterly that includes a variety of subjects including: Bible records, birth, death, marriages, newspaper articles, book reviews, queries, and articles of general genealogical interest. The emphasis is on Kansas although some topics of a wider scope are occasionally considered. On a timely basis, membership rolls, surname directories, officers and committees list, library accessions and reports on society operations are incorporated into the publication. The Treesearcher welcomes materials from members and non-members for possible publication in The Treesearcher. In order to avoid errors in reading and interpreting handwritten records, it is requested that a typed transcript of the record be provided. All material submitted for publication should be documented as far as possible. The Treesearcher reserves the right to accept or reject any material submitted for publication and to edit as deemed necessary. Submission of material for publication constitutes implied permission of the submitter to so publish in The Treesearcher.
Material for publication may be mailed to: Treesearcher, PO Box 103, Dodge City, KS 67801-0103 or electronically to Treesearcher Editor. Include a stamped self-addressed envelope for any material to be returned. Submission of copies only is encouraged.
